If there’s anyone who knows my father Scott, you know his love for animals and you also know that not far to follow is canine companion Ozzie.

Yesterday Ozzie had a reaction to a de-wormer caused by the MDR1 genetic mutation that was unknown until yesterday. He was rushed to Ocean State Veterinarian Emergency Hospital and received treatment as soon as possible. After getting admitted, Ozzie did show signs of improvement, however, he is still in critical condition. The neurologist and all the compassionate staff at OSV are working together to give Ozzie the best odds, however there is more treatment to be had, and unfortunately, those treatments are becoming too much to carry alone.

Since the moment he came home, we’ve hardly spent a day apart. Anything to help means the world, and I appreciate it more than you will ever know.”
