Help Owl's family
Donation protected
On August 23rd 2019, our community lost a friend at the tender age of 42. Owl was more than just a friend to me, I considered him family.

I have so many amazing memories of owl but my most fond memory, that’s social media appropriate of course, was when owl won the blue belt 2013 Gracie world championships. He beat five people all with the same move that he called the “Owl special” and cleaned out his division in about 5 minutes. The “Owl special” shouldn’t work in jiu-jitsu, but Owl was a fucking monster and knew what he was doing. I dug up the video of his matches that day so everyone can check it out.
No one in the community could have ever predicted that this is how things would turn out and we extend our deepest sympathy to Owl’s wife Heather and his 2 beautiful kids AC and Kezia who are affected most by this great loss.

We set up this gofundme page to ease the load on Owl’s wife and kids during this very painful and devastating time to cover funeral expenses. It is in these times of loss and sadness when our community shines, supporting the people we care for. We are thankful for any amount you may be able to provide to reach our $5,000 goal.
If for whatever reason you are currently unable to donate, please share this page under the hashtag #owl2019 with the hope that Owl’s story can reach more hearts. For any of Owl’s friends, we ask if you could share any pictures and memories you have of/with him. Owl touched many people’s lives with his infectious smile and energy and we would like to commemorate his impact on all of us.
