Owen unexpectedly went into kidney failure the evening of February 19th. He found himself facing a very real and possibly permanent health crisis. Through extreme pain, tests, a biopsy, dialysis, and unknowns, we find ourselves cautiously optimistic.
This came at the worst time (as these situations often do). This was his last week of paramedic school. Without going into too much detail, this can cause a snowball effect financially and in his career. He is currently a firefighter with the Wauconda Fire Department. Being a firefighter paramedic has been Owen’s dream since he was very young.
As he heals and we find a new rhythm, Owen will be slowly going back to work. As you can imagine, this has accumulated a huge financial burden medically. This will continue to as life moving forward will change. Paying for school, bills, and other expected expenses is now a struggle with Owen not being able to work (at least as much).
We’ve been encouraged by multiple people to set this up to help with Owen’s care. Please consider giving to a young, local firefighter who gives his life serving a community. He needs your support right now.
Thank you
