Help Owen battle ALS
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kendra and I'm reaching out to my friends and family for help. I've never been one to ask for or accept help but now I know how much we need it at this time. My husband of almost 30 years has recently been diagnosed with motor neuron disease commonly known as ALS. Some have been part of our journey this past 2 1/2 years and some had no idea. It all started in July 2020 after shoulder surgery. He started feeling numbness. He's had five surgeries in less than 3 years trying to find the cause. In the last year he has progressively gotten worse. He has been completely wheelchair bound the past 3 months. He has lost all feeling and movement on his left side. For those that know how athletic and physical Owen is you know this is so frustrating for him. His coaching days weren't done, Latham is only 10 and he has so much more to offer. He coached from his wheelchair this past season. There are two very important events coming up in our lives that Owen wants to be present for: Our daughters college graduation and Our sons wedding in October. We are already working hard trying to get him in some trials. We desperately want to try stem cell treatments. The funds will help with that as well as travel. He needs an electric wheelchair, a better mattress for his hospital bed, etc. We are just beginning to navigate this journey and any help you can find in your heart to give would be greatly appreciated. I know the holidays are here and I'm only wishing for a miracle to save my children's father and my best friend ❤️ if you can't donate, please share and pray for Owen, it means the world to us
