Help Juan Overcome Medical Debt After Pulmonary Embolism

In February 2024, I suffered a double pulmonary embolism (PE) which left me hospitalized for over 20 days. While hospitalized, I became septic due to an infection in my lungs that followed that permanently damaged my lung function. My condition worsened despite the constant tests and scans but thankfully, after three weeks of monitoring, I was finally discharged. The healing process at home over the next several months was really difficult and not without many more emergency room visits, however during the last 4-5 months i'm finally starting to feel like myself again!

This last year has been unlike any in my life- I've had a lot to work through physically and emotionally after this near-death experience. I’m so incredibly grateful to be doing better, and thankfully, to be back to work. However the financial strain of missed work, thousands in insurance deductibles and co-pays, constant doctor’s appointments, prescriptions and countless emergency room visits have depleted the majority of my savings over the course of that time. It's had to believe that the full cost of this experience hasn’t even been realized so long after the fact. I obviously wanted to be able to take care of this on my own, and have done so mostly, but the last several months have proven to me i'm not able to keep up with these costs financially. My friends have encouraged me to not be ashamed to ask for help of my community and after much deliberation I've decided to do so! I genuinely appreciate any financial support that you can offer, or if you’re in a position to hire me for makeup- I’m back from the dead.
