As many of you may remember I set up a GoFundMe about two years ago. And even doing that took “a lot”, because I struggle asking for help or for things in general. Thankfully with the support and push of one of my best friends one was made. I was overwhelmed with so much love and generosity.

But I’m at a stage now where I understand (or am at least learning to accept) it’s okay to ask for help, especially in times like these last 4 years have been.

If im being honest, the last 2+ years specifically though, have been a real struggle. My surgery to get my ostomy bag removed back in 2023, had gone really wrong, which caused more problems than solutions. Putting me in ICU for a week and leaving me with an open wound that wouldnt close due to fistulas that wouldnt heal. So to say the least, It's been a big struggle to gain any of my weight back. Which because of that I haven’t been able to put any muscle mass on. In total I've ended up staying in the hospital for 4-5 months over the last 2 years ( and in the last 4 years I’ve spent close to 10 months in hospital). Also Shout out the nursing staff here by the way, they have really become like a family to me.

Currently my setup consists of myself having a pic line in so I can receive iv fluids for hydration and hopefully only temporarily, TPN (iv nutrition). On top of all of that; having 3-5 appointments a month, tons of medical supplies that are needed, more than a doezen medications, plus just day to day needs. The finances have been a real struggle. I won’t even begin to go into the mental struggles it’s been. Im genuinely dreaming of the day when I can work, play soccer and just feel somewhat "normal" again.

Truly anything will go such a long way on helping me recover!
