I am currently struggling with both physical and mental health issues. I have been diagnosed with avascular necrosis. The head of my femur is collapsed and I will be getting a hip replacement as soon as I'm able to schedule it. I am seeking funds to help me pay my bills for a few months while I wait for surgery and then recover.
In early December 2024, I injured my left hip badly, and it's been devastating. I had been driving Uber Eats for my primary income and had to stop working because of the pain. I jumped into my rolling car to stop it in December, and the pain has made my life extremely difficult. It particularly hurts when getting in and out of the car, making food delivery excruciating. In January, after my second session of physical therapy, I couldn’t stand or walk temporarily. The pain is the worst when I go from sitting to standing, and I haven’t been able to do deliveries at all since that day.
My orthopedic specialist has found a hip impingement on my left hip. I am awaiting MRI results for a possible labral tear. I also have an upcoming lower back MRI for lumbosacral radiculopathy, which is nerve pain shooting down my leg. I'm frequently using a cane when my mobility becomes affected.
I have also had a very difficult year with mental health. Many of my loved ones know I have ongoing challenges with Bipolar I, severe depression, generalized anxiety, etc. This has caused ongoing employment issues, ending in mental health crises. Finding Uber Eats for income was such a relief until my body gave out. I have consistently taken meds and been in therapy for over 15 years.
Unfortunately, recently, the depression became severe enough that on Feb 12th, 2025, I started a mental health day treatment program from 9 am to 3 pm on weekdays. This usually lasts about 7 to 10 days. Goals of the program: "Daily structured and comprehensive program combining individual, group, family, and psych-educational therapies. Based on the needs of the consumer, the program also offers help with emotional, environmental, financial, and occupational issues by providing the necessary resources and by making appropriate referrals in the community."
I am looking for help with paying for my expenses for the next few months: bills, food, gas, and personal care, and updating my dog Vanta’s shots, especially my car insurance and car payment so I can stay mobile and independent. I am a very frugal person, so I plan to make any funds last as long as possible. In the meantime, I will be moving in with my mom while I get my health together and get back on my feet. I'm trying to figure out a long-term solution, work on side projects, etc.
Feel free to message me if you have any questions.
