Help Overcome Chronic Illness Medical Costs

As someone who has struggled since childhood with chronic illness, I thought at 26 I was able to manage my symptoms. In January of 2025, I came home to the US for a brief visit before returning to Europe to begin a new job. Two days prior to my international flight I was in the emergency room with pain that ended up causing the next 4 months of my seemingly endless health struggles. I have been hospitalized, spent days in examination rooms, had surgery, imaging, and tried invasive therapies and medications. I have struggled to be understood and empathized with by even the best intended friends and family members, and worst of all, been turned away and gaslit by medical professionals. I am bed bound most days, have had organs fall out of my body, excessive bleeding, and have deeply painful flares that last up to 9 days. It is hard for me to ask for help but the financial strain on me has surpassed my savings, familial support, and basic-necessity-only lifestyle of the last 4 months. While I have lived with endometriosis and chronic bladder pain most of my life, over the course of the last few months I am grappling with multiple new conditions and more testing to add to that growing list. My current track of treatment is preparing me for a surgery which will be a hysterectomy, endometriosis excision, and organ prolapse mesh support. Additionally, I am undergoing extensive diagnostic care for colon failure and parathyroid diseases. I do not know how long my road to recovery will be but my doctors are advising a 6 month time frame. I am emotionally and mentally exhausted from the full time job of staying alive.
