It began January 2024, I checked myself into UPMC Westshore because of abdominal pain and a temperature of 102, after a few hours of examination and blood work they found a huge collection of fluid in my abdomen, it was drained and examined then I was on serious multiple antibiotics for months. The one photo is of my PIC line in my arm which I had to have daily injections of two different antibiotics for a month. During that time and more bloodwork and CT scans, they found two tumors. Surgery resulted in the removal of both… I lost 5 inches of my colon and part of my bladder. Then I did six months of chemo which ended in October 2024. Now just two weeks ago (May 19) the bloodwork has shown two indicators that the cancer is returning.

I currently still owe UPMC over $2000 but that is surely going to rise in the coming months now that it has returned. Now… considering that all of our utilities, electricity, natural gas, water, trash collection, sewer, etc… continue to raise their monthly rates on us, prices on everything at the grocery store, gas pump, just aren’t coming down and my paycheck is spent, every two weeks.

I have turned 59 on June 3rd and I really want to use what savings I have for retirement, if I can. I’m the first person in my family to get cancer. I hate this.

I have all of my coins, comics and sports cards listed on eBay since last June… it’s just not selling. Even trying to sell off my guns but that’s not working out either.
