Hello ! I am a mother to 3 wonderful children and married to the best husband. I work at the local school district as a lunch lady and absolutely love my job. I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in February 2025 and on May 29, 2025 I had a double mastectomy. I will have to have 3 weeks of daily radiation after I’m healed and take a blocker for 5-10years also. I was recovering wonderfully then on June 4th I woke up sick and ended up in er . I was septic. I had to have emergency surgery. Or I could die. They reopened my right incision and cleaned the infection out. I’m on a strong medication to clear up the infection but it seems to be to be working. I am now starting my recovery all over. I will be out of work unpaid until at least September. If not longer. I appreciate all the love and support from everyone. update…. Feeling a lot better since the infection. I got my drains out and got prescription for physical therapy. I also have my appointment scheduled to meet with the radiologist to get started on my radiation treatments. It’s been a long hard road so far but I am making the best of it. Ready for the next steps in saving my life.
