Help Overcome Brain Injury and Job Loss
Donation protected
Last year, around 11:30 pm on November 9, 2023, my sneaker got caught in the ride vehicle of Space Mountain and I went flying face first into a metal hand rail. I broke my nose in two places and fell on the floor. I don’t have memories of the accident. This changed my life. It took 11 months to find out the extent of the damage to my brain. I was diagnosed with a mild cognitive disorder due to a traumatic brain injury. I also had an abnormal finding on my EEG. I still don’t know the results of that. I haven’t been able to return to my magical job and this caused me to lose the job I loved in June. In August long term disability abruptly closed my case and I’ve been fighting to get it back since. In the meantime my family has been working hard to make sure we have all the basic needs and its been tough.
