Located in Waterbury, CT, Helping Outside Animals is a volunteer group dedicated to caring for abandoned outdoor cats. Recently, four outdoor cats have been left behind when their owners moved away—Momma Cat and her 6-month-old kitten, a sick stray male named Charlie, and a newly dumped cat who now waits daily for food. These cats have been living outside for about a year, relying on the kindness of a neighbor who feeds them nightly. Unfortunately, resources are running out, and the situation has become more urgent as winter approaches and illness spreads among the cats.
Momma Cat is petite, black and white, and very friendly, but she’s had multiple litters back-to-back and is believed to have worms. Her kitten is in decent shape but likely also has worms. Charlie, the adult male, suffers from severe respiratory illness—he has loud breathing, coughing, and sneezing fits, and he urgently needs medical attention. The newly dumped cat is extremely hungry and was recently abandoned, now seeking food and shelter every day. The “owners” of Momma Cat and her kitten moved away two months ago, leaving them to fend for themselves. As temperatures drop, the cats’ health is deteriorating, and the need for help is greater than ever.
Your support will provide immediate veterinary care for Charlie and medical care for the other cats. Donations will also help purchase cat food and materials for outdoor shelters, giving these abandoned cats a fighting chance to survive the winter. Please help us give these cats a chance at a safe, healthy life. Every contribution makes a difference and brings hope to these animals in need.
