He worked as the chef at the homeless shelter I was living at during 2017-2018. Jason did more for me during that extremely difficult time than anyone else did. He got me a job when no one else would hire me because of my record, he helped me get connected with re-entry programs when I needed them, he would check in with it’s me knowing I didn’t have my family’s support.  He helped find me a place to live when my time at the shelter came to an end. He helped pay for my rent when I was laid off. Jason is the sole reason why I am no longer homeless. He was the first support system I Had when I decided to turn my life around. Without him I would have been right back in Jail or on the streets. He was my mentor, my friend, and my role model. Right now he is in an extremely difficult place. He was laid off from his regular job, and was forced to move out because of some racist punk who continuously harassed him at his home, and the police were unable to do anything for him. He is currently living out of a motel barely getting by Jason would give you the shirt off his back if you would ask, and right now he needs the help of the community.
