My little brother Eric (42) husband and father of 4 boys, was at his son's powerlifting competition Saturday, 3/13/2021. As he was leaving to get lunch for his family he had a seizure. He was rushed to the hospital and there they found a mass on his brain. He was then transferred to Immanuel ICU to see a neurologist and underwent brain surgery on Tuesday, 3/16/2021, to hopefully remove the mass. Unfortunately, they were unable to get it all despite their hard efforts. The results of the biopsy from the mass are still unknown. This means that Eric will have to start chemotherapy and radiation in an attempt to stop the spread of what could be something life threatening. As we all know, hospitals are VERY expensive and medical bills pile up quite fast. Six days in the ICU, brain surgery, and who knows what else to come is certain to financially strain Eric and his loving wife, Erin. They have both been out of work due to the circumstances and still have 4 teenage boys to take care of.
Eric has worked at Chieftain Van Lines since he was 16 years old and driving over the road for many years. If you know Eric, you know that driving a truck has been what he has wanted to do since he was only 3 years old. He is missing the road and is worried he will not be able to drive a truck again. Anything that can be donated would be greatly appreciated by his entire family. We will keep everyone updated as we continue to work through the hardships this continues to bring to the family.
Thank you.
