On January 29th my mom took my dad to the emergency room knowing that something was wrong with my dad but had no idea what was in store for us that day. They did scans and began to tell us that my dad had kidney cancer. We later learned that he has stage 4 clear cell renal carcinoma, what my dad is stuck with is not curable, this is something he will always deal with. This cancertainly has matasized into both lungs and the brain. The right kidney has a tumor larger then his kidney sitting on it, both lungsides are full of tumors with too many to even count and his brain has 7 tumors, 6 on the right side and one in the back. My parents are having to travel to a lot of appointments and things are getting a little tough. Any little bit of anything will help. My dad wanted to try clinical trial drugs but at this time that is not the right then to do because he will have to be off of steriods for 1 month and when he is off of steriods things get rough, he can't walk, gets hard to use his hands, gets forgetful, all around things get rough for him. We will begin chemo next week and see where that takes us. Every day is a new day and a different day. My parents are dealing with lots of things they never have before arent are learning each day. Any thing would help my mom out right now!
