Help out our friends Nic and Nicole!

A few weeks ago, our friend Nic was hit by a wreckless driver making a u-turn out of a parking spot while he was in traffic on the way to Home Depot. The impact totaled his car and sent him to the ER. He spent the next week in ICU suffering from a concussion, 4 broken vertebrae, a severed nerve in his arm and a blood clot lodged just below his brain stem.

Although his recovery is imminent, he is in a precarious position for the next 6 months - a year. Nic wears a neck brace in hopes of his vertebrae healing correctly on their own, takes blood thinners in hopes of reducing the size of the blood clot near his brain, and has physical therapy to try and regain movement in his arm. Any and all of these paths could lead to surgery, we have our fingers crossed they don't.

All of this to say, our friend needs help. Nic can't work due to the fragile nature of his healing, his girlfriend Nicole has taken pause from work so she can care for him, but the bills keep coming.

Yes, insurance will cover a fraction of these expenses, but after the insane year we had last year, this shitty timing has put our friends in a tight squeeze. These are good, generous, fun people and we are calling on the community, our vibrant, creative community to support these shining members in a time of need.
