Deneen Walton as been a jewel to the Magnolia, TX area for more than 18 years. She has lived her life to serve the community in which she lives. From working as a preschool teacher at The Sherwood Academy for 10+ years, to volunteering over the last 15 years for countless activities and events within the Magnolia School District, Deneen has served her community as an educator, mentor and friend.
For those who know Deneen know that she loves her family and friends very much! She is someone that everyone can count on to be there in a time of need or bring a smile to those who need a little joy. She is a selfless person who always thinks of others first, leaving little to nothing left for herself. She would not live her life any other way! She is one of those jewels we all know, love and cherish as a friend.
After six months of not feeling well, this Christmas season Deneen went to the emergency room at St. Lukes in the Woodlands and ended up being diagnosed with colon cancer. That same day she underwent five hours of surgery to remove all the cancerous colon tissue. The surgery was successful from the standpoint that the tissue identified as cancerous via real-time pathology was removed. She still faces a tough battle through required radiation and chemotherapy treatments.
Deneen is now in need of her friends and family to rally around her and help her and her family thru this difficult time. Due to financial limitations at this time in their lives and not having the luxury of affordable health care, Deneen and her family need as much financial support as they can get to help cover the costs of the doctors, surgery, the hospital stay and the extended treatments need to ensure the cancer does not return. The need for financial support is immediate as the hospital bills have already started to come in... and it's only been just a few days since this all happened.
We are asking for a monetary donation from all her family and friends so that Deneen and her family can focus on her treatments and not have to worry about where the funds will come from to ensure she can dance and sing her way through the rest of her long life!
