You may know Reiko, the happiest kitty alive. The most calm and chill little guy. Anyone who's met Reiko understands how important he is to Jordyn and I.
We started this gofundme for a lump in his abdomen that did pass and he's been pretty good for the past seven months but on Tuesday he didn't come home for the whole day at which was quite concerning and then he came knocking at the window at 5:30 looking weak he couldn't go to the toilet and he wasn't interested in food or water so we rushed him straight to the animal hospital where we found that he had a urinary blockage and needed a catheter put in. This disease is called FLUTD, FELINE LOWER URINARY TRACT DISEASE
After a few hours we took him home that night and when we woke up he was acting weak again so I took him to the vet first thing in the morning and they told me he re-blocked again and needed another catheter and an IV and needed to stay the whole day.
It progressed quite well and he ended up having an overnight stay and we picked him up Thursday night with lots of meds and he was acting quite well. His bloods came back quite low which indicates kidney issues which could be low iron deficiency which is something we need to look into after we get him better.
Fast forward to this morning he was not well again I took him back to the hospital and they said it could be a reblockage or he could just be in pain so we're going to try to give him pain meds a bit earlier but I'm heading to the vet again today to see if he's reblocked up and if he has surgery might be an option which will cost us a lot.
I open back up this gofundme if anyone would like to donate even if it's a dollar or if you've got any tips if you've dealt with cats and this disease before.
