Help the Nelson family recover from tragic & unexpected loss

Erik Nelson took his own life on 9/13/24 leaving behind his wife and 19 year old Autistic son. Besides dealing with the loss of a loved one, the family has found themselves in severe financial distress and are not able to cover the costs of cremation, which is needed in order to receive a death certificate, nor any other financial obligations as Erik was the primary source of income.

Erik was born and raised in Worcester, MA. He graduated South High School in 1993. He enlisted in the Navy and was a Nuclear Engineer. He graduated from WPI in 2001 and recieved a degree in Civil engineering. Erik continued his career in the Navy and became an officer. He married his wife, Kristen in 2005 and welcomed his son, Nathaniel, the same year. He retired from the Navy in 2017 and the family settled in Spanaway,WA.
