Help out Christy Reisen and Family

Hello, we are fundraising to help Christy Reisen and family (Tom, Charlee, Carenna, Cailey, Cara, and Caitlyn) with daily, weekly, and monthly expenses while they are going through difficult and complicated times. Carenna (13) has been in and out of the hospital with various unexplained extreme pain over the last few months. This has required Christy to take off many workdays to look after Carenna, drive to appointments, and stay with her at the Children's Hospital of Milwaukee. Christy and her family have always been a rock to my family and the entire community as a whole, and we all know that if there is any community that can help out a friend in need, it is Door County. Christy is one of the most hardworking people any of us have ever met, raising five amazing girls, working full time, and recently going back to school for her Master's degree in special education. The funds raised will help them with expenses such as housing, groceries, and gas while Christy is unable to work. Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated and will be put to great use in helping a family that has been so important in so many people's lives.

***IMPORTANT UPDATE*** 

Unfortunately, Carenna’s condition is not improving and Christy is still staying with her in Milwaukee. She is completely out of Paid Time Off, and Carenna continues to be in excruciating pain. Door county and friends, now more than ever we need to rally behind our neighbors in need and try to take at least one worry off their minds so they can focus on getting Carenna back to her amazing self. Funds continue to be used towards daily expenses such as housing, groceries, and transportation, as well as medical expenses not covered under insurance.
