Help out beloved Stumpy with his medical bills!

Hi, I'm Hannah. I own Mango, brother to Stumpy. Mango adores Stumpy just like everyone else who meets him! We would love for Stumpy and his dad Dave to be able to relax and know that his surgery and rolling medical bills until he is healed are covered!

As some of you close to Dave and Stumpy are aware, Mr Stumpy has had issues since birth. He very nearly didn’t survive the birthing process and was born with a deformed half tail, deformed genitals, and we have now discovered internal plumbing issues that mean that he is urinating out of his rectum.

Dave said "he was one I had to keep, and I don’t regret it in any way, he means the world to me."

I’ve been told by people who know more about breeding than me, that he is a genetic throw back to the 80’s in his configuration, and is a fantastic example of the original classic German Rottie!

What Stumpy has is a really rare condition that in no way could have been preempted, all the pups from the litter are perfect in every way physically except for poor unlucky Stumps.

Dave said "I was fully aware that the likelihood was that he wasn’t going to make it but was committed to giving him every possible opportunity that I could. "

On Monday the 22nd of January he had CT scans to see exactly what was going on internally. And the vets have said that subject to confirmation by the specialist who checks the images, it all seems resolvable!

The procedure would entail amputating his genitals, and rerouting the tube from his bladder. The success rate with this is really high and post op he would be expected to have a healthy normal life!

If he can get this procedure and following medical assistance he will be a fantastic stooge dog, for helping dogs with behavioural l issues, as his engagement, neutrality, and mentality are something to behold that Dave says "I have never experienced in a dog this young".

Obviously as this is classed as a birth defect it is sadly not insured. All of us who know Dave and Stumpy, Khaleesi and Kai, know that they are a lovely bunch who have helped so many and deserve the world! I believe this would be a great way to say thank you for all they've done and to celebrate as members of the Stumpy fan club!
