Hi - we are a group of Nina's friends, coming together to seek financial support for our pal.

Our dear friend Nina has recently been diagnosed with hormone receptor positive invasive ductal carcinoma, a form of breast cancer. She now faces two major surgeries; one to remove the breast affected by cancer, and another to complete a double mastectomy. These are early days, and more about her treatment plan will be known in the coming weeks, but we do know that Nina will require pharmaceutical drugs for several years to ensure the cancer does not return - without medical benefits, this will be a substantial expense.

Nina is the sole income earner for her household. As she prepares for surgery, treatment and recovery, she will be unable to work for an extended period, meaning a significant loss of income during an already stressful time.

Nina needs our support to help make ends meet — to cover essential expenses like groceries, medical costs and prescriptions, vet bills, and household costs, and to relieve the added stress of finances to an already stressful experience. The goal is to give her the peace of mind to focus entirely on healing, not on how she’ll pay the next bill.

Anyone who knows Nina knows how much she gives of herself to others. She’s the kind of person who always shows up for her people, offering her time, care, and kindness whenever someone needs it. She volunteers regularly at Lailo Animal Sanctuary, where her compassion brings comfort and joy to animals and people alike.

Now it’s our turn to show up for Nina.
