Help Our Warrior, Azael, Battle Severe Health Challenges

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,

We are Wilfredo Aviles and Zenida Robles, parents to our courageous three-month-old son, Azael Cielo Aviles. Our journey began unexpectedly when Azael was rushed to the hospital on March 29, 2024, due to a severe urinary tract infection. He was quickly transferred to Stanford Children's Hospital for a higher level of care and has been in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for over 15 days.

Azael's health issues started even before he was born, with a condition known as hydronephrosis (kidney swelling). Instead of improving on its own, it got worse and led to a dangerous infection and sepsis, which attacks the body. While fighting these, Azael was also diagnosed with uncontrollable epilepsy, making his treatment even more complex.

Every day, Azael shows us what strength really means. He has undergone numerous aggressive treatments, including intubation (tubes running through his nose and mouth) to help him breathe and eat. While there have been some signs of improvement, he has faced several setbacks. Azael's medical care is ongoing, and he will need regular hospital visits and treatments throughout his life.

The time we have spent in the hospital has been really tough emotionally and financially. In the middle of moving to our new apartment as a new family, we have had to step away from work to be with Azael during these critical times creating a significant financial hardship without a known discharge date in sight. We are facing ongoing expenses for his care.

We are reaching out for your support. We hope to raise enough money to help cover Azael’s medical expenses, travel for treatment, and our lost wages, so we can be there for him without worrying about finances.
