Update - You all are amazing, we never anticipated more than doubling our initial goal!

All additional funds from this GFM will be used for cars/car repairs for our vulnerable neighbors. We already have another donor vehicle that needs a new transmission, in addition to some other potential vehicles for our vulnerable neighbors.

We will leave this GFM open to anyone interested in continuing funding our repairs! I’ll continue to post updates on how the money is being spent

We take care of us

Original GFM Goal -

As some of you know, during the recent ICE invasion in Minneapolis we've formed an underground mechanic network of volunteer mechanics to help those protecting our neighbors as well as directly helping our vulnerable neighbors with car repairs.

We have not asked for funding up to this point, although we have a unique situation we are requesting community support for.

One of our vulnerable neighbors in MPLS needs a new vehicle, as hers is beyond repair. She needs her vehicle 7 days a week for work, and without it she risks losing her job. As the primary income-earner for her family, a safe and reliable vehicle is essential.

Our mechanics have nailed down a vehicle for her at the price of $700. It needs some work, with estimated total costs coming to $1000 after our mechanics fix it. Any amount helps to ensure our neighbor can continue supporting her family during this chaotic time. We take care of us.

Thank you for all the support toward keeping our neighbors safe, it is truly appreciated!
