Hi my names Emily and I’m writing this on behalf of the most sweetest loving horse owners
We never imagined we’d have to ask for help like this, but right now we have no other choice.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, every single penny will go towards helping our beautiful Violet receive the care she needs. If you can’t donate, simply sharing this post would mean the world to us.
As many of you have already seen, sometime between 8:00pm on 14th July and 8:00am the following morning, someone entered our private horse field. During that time, an off-lead dog attacked our gentle girl.
Violet was left with severe swelling around her eyes, multiple puncture wounds to her legs, and a deep gash across her back that required several staples. The vets attended immediately, treated her wounds, gave her antibiotics and sedation, and we’ll now be monitoring her closely over the coming days as she begins what we hope will be a full recovery.
The physical injuries are heartbreaking, but what’s even harder to see is how much this has affected her emotionally. Before this, Violet was the sweetest, kindest mare who wouldn’t hurt a fly. Now she’s frightened to even go back into her own field – the place where she should feel safest.
To make matters worse, part of the fence was damaged, and it appears this was used as an escape route after the attack.
Violet has already overcome so much in her life. She has a difficult past, much of which we’ll never fully know, and she deserved nothing but peace and happiness from here on. Seeing her in pain and so scared has been absolutely devastating.
The unexpected veterinary treatment has left us with a bill we simply weren’t prepared for. If you can spare anything at all to help with Violet’s veterinary costs, we would be forever grateful. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help us give her the care, treatment and recovery she deserves.
Thank you so much for your kindness, support, and for keeping Violet in your thoughts. ❤️
