Help our Veteran Jason get urgent nerve surgery!

Jason West served our country from 1989-1997 as a combat engineer in the Marine Corps. He was responsible for detonating land mines and unfortunately experienced several explosions that left him with a traumatic brain injury. During his time in the military Jason was stabbed, shot, captured, tortured, and was exposed to nerve agents and untested vaccinations.
Sadly all of these factors led Jason to an early retirement from his service in the military. Jason had begun to experience extreme migraines that at first were thought to be strokes because they were so bad he was unable to speak.
Jason is now 49 years old and happily married to his wife Angie. Together they have a 2-year-old little boy. A few years ago his migraines, memory loss and nerve pain started to get even worse. Jason and his wife have been to doctor after doctor trying to find a cure for the immense pain that interrupts his daily life. His migraines get so bad now that he can't talk, walk, find his way to work or even remember to pick the baby up from daycare some days.
Jason's wife recently reached out to the VA for support, and while they have been helping as much as they can, it was discovered that there are no records of Jason's service, nor many of his platoon members' service. Imagine fighting for your country only to be forgotten in the record books! Because of this, their support is limited and it has been difficult for the family to find the help Jason needs, while relying on his wife's medical insurance to cover the immense costs.
Thankfully, they have finally come across a doctor who thinks he can help reduce Jason's pain! However, due to the family's large debt incurred from all of Jason's past medical bills, they fear they will be unable to pay for the surgery that may be able to reduce his daily pain by up to 75%. The doctor predicts that the family could have to pay upwards of $100,000 out of pocket for the nerve surgery (including taking time off work) so the family is asking for any help possible to raise the money to cover the surgery that Jason desperately needs!
