My name is Kathryn Krasnozhon and I am married to the most wonderful Ukrainian man, Sergei. It has been heartbreaking to see the devastation his family has experienced due to the war in Ukraine. Days after losing his 7-year-old daughter to COVID, my brother-in-law (Yuri Krasnozhon) and his cousin (Vanya) were taken from their front yard in Peremoga (near Kyiv) by Russian soldiers and executed. Days later, my husband's parents' home was bombed - leaving one side of the house destroyed, all of the windows blown out, and the roof in ruins. Russian soldiers later ransacked the home, stealing or destroying anything of value including furniture, pillows, rugs, and keepsakes.
 
I have created this fundraiser to ask for your help. Sergei's parents (Lydia and Vitaly Krasnozhon) spent everything they had burying their granddaughter, burying their son, and seeking shelter. We have sent what money we could to his family already, but we are trying to raise enough to replace the windows and repair the roof of their home so they can be safe from the harsh winter in the coming season. Every penny raised will be transferred to Lydia and Vitaly. Thank you so much for your support!
