Help our Ukrainian family get settled in Canada

Hello! My name is Lisa and I am fundraising for Tatiana (Tanya) Zasanska and her four-year old daughter, Marharyta (Margaret). Tanya is Walter’s (my husband) cousin, and we offered to help her and her daughter when the war broke out. After many attempts to safely leave their home in Ukraine, they have been staying in other European countries while their documents were processed. We are excited that Tanya and Margaret have flights booked and arrive August 26!

After fleeing their home with very few possessions, we need your support in helping them build a new life in Edmonton, Canada. We will be applying for the refugee government grants, but that is not enough to help a family start a brand new life. Walter and I have opened our home to them and will help with all basic necessities, but we need your support to help with things like paying for their flights and her husbands hotel back home as he awaits the day he can join his wife and daughter, and funds for when they are able to get a place of their own. All funds collected will be given to Tanya.
