Help Our Team Reach Vex World Competition
Donation protected
Let's send these kids off to World Competition for Vex Robotics on May 6-8, 2025!
Vex is an engineering, coding, and team-building extracurricular. A team will build, code, engineer, and compete with a robot built by them with tools and materials that have strict stipulations. Competitions can be fierce, and more often than not, pieces are strewn across the playing field when battles are over. There are points awarded in competitions for the skills of their robot and the ability to meet certain requirements, as well as battling too. Each year, there are different requirements and different gameplay, which makes it challenging to qualify in any given year. It's no easy feat (especially in Utah) to make it to World Competition.
These high school students have worked so hard over the course of the last few years, and this year they have qualified to make it to the World Competition in Dallas, TX. Unfortunately, while they competed with the school district, they will be allowed to compete only as an individual team, which means no school funds can be used to pay for registration fees or hotel fees that are not only stringent but required. The more we can raise for these guys to go, the better! The original amount is for the registration fees and hotel costs only, but we can do better if more people can donate!
Right now, a robot rental fee, rental cars, food, and flights are not included, but we're hoping to see large support from friends, family, the community, and businesses! Please feel free to share on your social media channels.
This GoFundMe is set up by a parent of one of the 6 students on the team. All proceeds, less the GoFundMe costs, will be given to the team to help pay for those items listed above.
