In March 2024, a diverse group of women from the Sunshine Coast—many of whom were strangers to each other and in various stages of life—came together to learn the sport of dragon boating. Despite being mostly new to the sport, we quickly bonded as a team and experienced some impressive successes in our first year. Now, we’re hooked! The Sea Gals are excited to continue refining our skills and to achieve even greater success in our second season. That’s where you come in—our team is eager to train with top-tier coaches in Vancouver and compete in more regattas across BC, but these opportunities come with costs. To ensure every member of our team can participate, we are fundraising to cover training and regatta expenses.
