Seijii joined our Gaia family in February, and from the moment she arrived, she made herself at home — exploring every nook and cranny with fearless delight. Though she first earned the nickname “Grumpy,” we soon discovered she was a fierce, independent young lady — vigilant, wild-hearted, and ready to steal hearts with her deep light-green eyes. Her sweet cuddle brushes kept her close, never too far to hear us call her name with hopeful meows. With her gentle paws padding softly through the fields, she quickly became a beloved member of our family.

Heartbreakingly, just a few days ago, Seijii crawled her way back to us with two fractured legs. Our hearts shattered at the sight of her pain, and we promised her we’d do everything in our power to help. The vet confirmed she needs urgent surgery so she can once again walk, run, and roam freely through the gardens she loves.

The financial burden of treatment has grown beyond our expectations. We put so much care and effort into calling around to find the best options for her surgery, and with persistence, we were able to reduce the original estimate by half — but even so, the financial burden remains more than we can manage as a small business fueled with love for what we do and all who are part of this big family. That is why we find ourselves opening our hearts today to share Seijii’s story, to help bring Gaia’s prized companion back to health. More than just a companion, Seijii has been a gentle teacher, reminding us each day of the quiet wonders of presence-taking the time to observe our surroundings & witness every little sounds, curiosity-follow what sparks a flame, and the healing power of connection- by checking in routinely. She brings a grounding force, balance, and a sense of harmony to Gaia — her light has added immeasurable meaning to our lives and to all who have crossed her path.
