Every donation, share, and prayer helps Misty get the care she needs and the chance to recover.
Hi friends, I am reaching out because our sweet Misty needs help.
Misty was part of a colony that we TNRd many years ago. With patience, love, and trust, we slowly earned her confidence and were able to bring her inside and give her a safe, loving home. She has been part of our family ever since. She is such a gentle soul and brings so much quiet joy into our lives every single day.
Over the past 3 days, Misty stopped eating normally. We worked closely alongside her vet and tried everything we could. On 2/13, she became very jaundiced and needed urgent care immediately.
Misty is currently hospitalized at Crown VeterinarySpecialists, receiving fluids and supportive care.
- Bloodwork showed elevated liver enzymes and bilirubin.
- X-rays did not show any cancer.
- Today, 2/14, Misty will be having an ultrasound, and if she still is not eating, she may need a feeding tube.
Right now, we are taking this one step at a time and praying for answers.
The cost of her care is significant, and we are doing everything we can to give her the best chance. After Misty is released from the hospital, she will need medications and follow-up visits to support her recovery. These ongoing costs are essential to give her the best chance at a full and healthy life.
My husband Jeff and I care for over 60 community cats across 2 separate colonies. Our focus has always been TNR and providing food, water, shelter, and veterinary care for cats who have no one else. This has been part of our lives since 2011. I am currently between jobs, and while we will always do everything we can for the animals in our care, covering this sudden emergency has become daunting.
This fundraiser is solely to cover Misty’s urgent veterinary care at Crown Veterinary Specialists. For those who wish to donate directly to the vet please see the uploaded photo with Crown Vet phone number & Misty’s information.
- If excess donations are received, any remaining funds will be used to help other community cats in urgent need.
It is difficult for me to ask for help, but I am reaching out because Misty and every life in our care matters deeply to us. This emergency is more than we can manage alone.
If you feel moved to help, your support—whether through a donation, sharing this page, or keeping Misty in your thoughts—means more than words can say.
Thank you for caring about Misty and all the community cats who depend on us.
