Help Sweet Harley Stay on His Feet (literally) ❤️

Hi there everyone,

We’re reaching out today to ask for help for our beloved Harley. We adopted Harley just under a year ago through the MSPCA after he came up from South Carolina—and he’s been our whole world ever since. He’s not just a pet—he’s our heart, our soul, our little baby.

Harley is a loving, energetic 4-year-old pit bull who loves going on walks, giving hugs, visiting the racetrack to meet new friends, playing tug, and watching over his bunny siblings. But recently, he was diagnosed with an ACL injury that’s limiting his ability to do all the things he loves most.

While he’s still able to walk and get around, any activity beyond a short stroll causes him discomfort, and we’ve been instructed to keep him leashed and restrict his play. Even a short trip to the track recently lead us to bring him home early. It’s incredibly hard to keep such a playful pup on the sidelines, especially when all he wants to do is run and explore like he used to. Since we didn’t have pet insurance at the time, treatment isn’t covered— the vet says it’s only a matter of time till he will be non weight-bearing on that leg.

We’re doing everything we can to help him heal and get back to his happy, active life. We will be having a variety of ways to help support Harley on this journey; from contests, to treat sales, and possibly even an “pawty” in his honor. Anything helps, even just sharing our fundraising efforts means the world. We are hoping to raise enough funds to get his surgery done this fall or early next year.
