Our sweet 1-year-old dapple wirehaired dachshund was recently attacked by a German Shepherd while we were on holiday leave, and he suffered serious injuries, including a bite wound to his chest and a penetrating wound to his left abdomen. We are a military family, and this unexpected emergency happened while we were away from home, making the situation even more overwhelming.

While he is currently stable, he urgently needs surgery and ongoing supportive care to fully recover. He is a loving, playful boy who brings joy to everyone he meets and never misses a chance to give kisses. The medical expenses are adding up quickly, and any support—whether through donations or sharing—would mean the world to us and help give him the chance to heal and get back to being the happy pup we know and love. The money will directly pay for his 24 hour care, surgery, and supplementary care following.
