update - June 30th✨
he got his surgery and he is doing amazing! Here is an updated photo from today! The last bit of money needed is for basic check ups and than Ubers to get there and back! But he is happy and doing good thank you for everything that everyone has done, we couldn’t have done it without you we love you guys!
✨ Update – June 10th✨
We were able to find a new vet clinic that can perform the surgery for much less — $2,300 max! This is such a huge relief compared to the original $4,000 estimate. They’ll also handle the bloodwork and follow-up care. We have our consult set for Saturday, and if all goes well, surgery will happen Monday.
We’ve also added $200 to the fundraiser total to help cover Uber Pet rides, since our car is still down and the vet is a little far.
Thank you all for the love and support for Puddles. We’re incredibly grateful, and we’re so much closer to getting him the care he needs. Please keep sharing!

Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out because my heart is breaking and I don’t know what else to do.
Our cat Puddles is just under a year and a half old. We adopted him from Bradshaw Animal Shelter when he was a baby, and he’s been a huge part of our family ever since. He’s incredibly cuddly, full of personality, and brings so much love to our lives — especially mine. He’s been my emotional support through so many hard days (not officially, but absolutely in every way that matters).
A few nights ago, we noticed something was very wrong. He was meowing in a way he never has before — deep, sad, almost like a cry for help. When we picked him up and brought him into our room, we saw that he was limping badly on his back right leg. He wouldn’t put weight on it and just looked so scared and uncomfortable.
We rushed him to the vet the next day. That alone cost nearly $700, which completely drained us. They did X-rays and gave him pain meds, and the next day we got the news: Puddles has a fractured femur near the hip, and he needs a surgery called an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) to be able to walk normally again without pain.
The surgery is going to cost around $3,500.
We have to pay a $400 deposit up front, and another $250 for bloodwork before the surgery date. We haven’t paid the deposit yet because we simply don’t have it.
We are a low-income family and have already been denied CareCredit and other financing options. We’ve never wanted to ask for help like this — but now we need it more than ever. This surgery can’t wait long, and we’re doing everything we can to raise the money quickly so he doesn’t suffer.
If you’re able to donate anything, even a few dollars, we would be so, so grateful.
If you can’t donate, just sharing this would mean the world to us.
We’ll be posting updates, X-rays, and pictures of our sweet Puddles. Thank you for reading, and thank you for caring.
