*UPDATE*
Dear friends and supporters,
Thank you again for your continued love and support! So many of you have reached out to our family. Please know that your thoughts and prayers are making a world of difference. A lot has happened since we first started this campaign, and we wanted to share some important updates about Mom's journey to keep you along for the ride.

The first round of chemotherapy proved to be brutal and exhausting. She endured weeks of intense side effects that tested her incredible strength like never before. And while we had hoped she would be a candidate for Sloan Kettering's clinical trial, that option unfortunately didn't work out.
Despite these overwhelming challenges and setbacks, she fought through it with remarkable courage, and we're overjoyed to share that she is technically in temporary remission after the first round of chemo. While this is wonderful news, her fight isn’t over yet. During treatment, doctors informed us that our mom needs a bone marrow transplant to give her the best chance at a full recovery. This obviously was a stressful thing to hear, as finding a proper donor can take months. But, miraculously, we recently discovered that her brother is a match!
Things are moving quickly now, and the procedure is planned to begin on February 13th at the University of Michigan Medical Center. This begins with a week of heavy chemotherapy to bring her counts back down to zero. Followed by the transplant and months of 24/7 care. This is where we’ll need your help. The associated costs with this essential procedure are mounting quickly. The transplant will require Mom to stay in the hospital for 6 weeks, followed by 100 days of mandatory nearby medical lodging so the hospital can closely monitor her as she recovers. The lodging alone will cost between $9,000-$10,000, not to mention ongoing travel expenses and medical bills. Because of this, we’ve decided to raise our fundraising goal to help cover these necessary but unexpected costs.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps ease the financial burden, allowing Mom to focus entirely on her strength and well being. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing our campaign with others who might be able to help!
Your continued support means everything to our family during this challenging time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for walking this journey with us.
With love and appreciation,
Elizabeth

In 2021, our mother Ann was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of leukemia. She bravely underwent months of intensive, draining treatment and miraculously entered remission for three years. Unfortunately, we recently received the devastating news that her cancer has come back, more aggressive than ever. But we’re determined to help her fighting spirit beat cancer again so she can have the fulfilling, wonderful life she deserves - and we need your help!
Our mom is the kind of person you’d be lucky to have in your corner. She pours her heart and soul into everything and everyone around her - be it her husband of 38 years, her 5 loving children, her 11 grandbabies, her friends, or her rescue dogs, cats, horses, ducks, and chickens. Ann dedicated 20 years of her life to being the best labor and delivery nurse anyone could hope for, even helping to bring 7 of her grandchildren into this world. She is unconditional with her love, a person you can always turn to, someone who leaves a mark on the lives of everyone around them. Her adventurous, compassionate, strong willed spirit is the glue that holds our family together. Currently, Ann is already undergoing a rigorous, traditional chemotherapy regimen, but we want to pursue advanced alternative treatments that suit her needs best.
Our goal is to get our mom to a state-of-the art cancer treatment that targets her specific kind of Leukemia, but is not covered by insurance. However, getting this kind of care comes at a significant financial burden, so we need your support to make this journey possible!
All funds raised will be used to get Ann the treatment she needs. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in helping our beautiful mom beat Leukemia.
Ann can’t wait for the healing days ahead when she can once again do the things she loves most in the world - doting over her grandchildren, hosting family gatherings, running her dog training business, shopping for goodies, and caring for her rescue animals.
Our mom has fought for everyone she cares for - now it’s our turn to fight for her!
If any donations are not needed for any reason, the remaining funds will be donated to help beat childhood leukemia.
Thank you for your support.
