Help our super ted access the therapy he needs.

Hi my name is Laura and I'm a proud mummy of my beautiful baby boy teddie.

Teddie was born a healthy beautiful baby boy, and at 9 days old he had his 1st seizure. We were in our local hospital for 3 weeks then moved to St georgies hospital in London for 4 months.Teddie was having over 100 seizures everyday and night. He was such a poorly boy, we were told to say goodbye to him twice and he is a fighter and pulled through and fought his way out of intensive care. While he was in St George's they discovered he has polymicrogyria on the left side of his brain. He was a very poorly baby boy. At six months old he went to great orman Street hospital to have a brain operation. Called a hemispheretomy. They have disconnected the whole of his left side of the brain. Teddie continued to seize and it seemed the operation didn't work so he was put on to more medication. The meds stopped him from developing. He is 2 on xmas eve but is like a 11 or 12 month old. On the 15th October 2022 he was in hospital for seizures and starting on sodium valparate and has stopped seizing. We are coming up to a year free in a week. So they now think the operation and medication are now working. Teddie was in tadworth the childrens trust for 12 weeks to help his development and try to help him use his right side of the body. Which he has lost due to the surgery. He also is on the blind register as he is partially sighted having lost the right side vision in both eyes. Since tadworth he has learned to sit up and stand using splints. And taking steps in a walker. Since leaving tadworth teddie hasn't had any home therapys as he is on the waiting lists so we are trying to raise money to get him private physio so he doesn't lose what we have gained.

Teddie has just been lucky to gain access to the childrens trust in tadworth again for a 10 week placement. He has been using a trike and a machine called a innowalk. He has done rebound therapy and hydro therapy. We would love to get him a trike but they are very expensive. We also would love him to be able to have hydro sessions with a therapist and see our private physio more than once a month. Please if you can spare any money to help him we would be so greatful. Even if u can spare a pound would be a huge help. Thanks
