Help "Our" Sudanese Students stay in school!

Donation protected
In 2021, our family heard of some Sudanese students who lost school funding when their uncle received a grant to go to medical school and could no longer work to support them. His goal was to become a surgeon and open a new hospital serving a critically underserved community with ½ million people who must walk hundreds of miles to see the one surgeon currently operating in the region.

To save them the heartbreak of quitting their education, my Aunt Charlotte and I decided to support these young students by funding their secondary education. Each term, they send a detailed list of their school fees and requirements, along with their grades from the prior term, and we wire them the money needed to cover their next term.

At first, this was quite affordable, with each student only costing a few hundred dollars per term. Since our first payments in 2022, however, the cost has skyrocketed both in terms of local inflation as well as the increased cost for each level of school. Now that all three students are in the Advanced Level (high school equivalent), the cost has tripled, and we are struggling to keep all three of them enrolled. Graduating from A Level secondary school is a huge and life-changing accomplishment with the potential for these three to impact hundreds of people back in Sudan. We're determined to find a way to continue supporting them through graduation and your contribution, no matter the size, would be significant.

Selwa has 3 terms left (1 year) and Fatna and Alfati each have 6 terms (2 years). Anything you can do to help them achieve their dreams will be cherished and appreciated!
