At the end of May, our eleven-month old kitten Kiki mistakenly got hold of a decorative octopus eraser, and swallowed it whole. She wouldn't eat or drink for several days, her stomach was upset, and it was crushing to see this goofy fucking butterball of a cat reduced to timidity and exhaustion.
We quickly took her to an urgent care veterinarian. The vet took X-rays, and eventually discovered this eraser in Kiki's small intestine, blocking her digestion—and thus the only way to get Kiki back to health was to remove the object surgically.
That's where you come in: while Kiki's in recovery, we're doing everything we can to recoup the medical cost spent to help her, in order to avoid debt and more financial precarity than we already experience. Any contribution is meaningful: even $5 or $10 will go a long, long way.
Hopefully with your help, Kiki will be back to running, chasing, eating the things she's actually supposed to eat, and living life as the healthy, happy, rambunctious girl she ought to be.
