Ok everyone, NC State has changed accommodation funding on our Special Olympics this year, which puts us families in a position where we will not be able to stay with our children during the night which is not possible for us due to the young ages and special care our children need for example some being non verbal prone to seizures ect . While some of us can cover hotel stays, a lot of our families cannot.
The Special Olympics is held in Raleigh, NC, so overnight stays are a must, and we have 18 special friends on our team, including my son Owen. Our parents are reaching out in different ways to their community to raise the money.
