HELP OUR SON SAHIL WITH HIS SPECIAL AUTISM JOURNEY

Hi this is Fahad and Samera parents of sahil. We wanted to give some insight for the fund raising for our Son Sahil’s treatment. Sahil was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2 and a half. He has been diagnosed on the highest spectrum and is currently non verbal. Naturally this came as a shock to us but we have had to manage accordingly.

Throughout the years this has gotten increasingly challenging as he has been growing up. Over the years we have been seeking help and other treatment with no success up until now. We were referred by a friend to an institute in Italy called Doman international - we then started to research and look into this in further depth. For a few months we went back and forth thinking about this and then did an online course with them to understand the course and what it entails. Once the course was completed by us we then booked our first visit in April 2023. During the visit the team there evaluated Sahil on his physical and neurological development to which we found out at the physical age of 9 years old his neurological age was 18.5 months. Once the evaluation was done we were given a programme that we needed to carry out with Sahil for the treatment. Due to this Sahil is now being Home Schooled and my wife Samera has taken sabbatical leave from work to keep up with Sahil's needs.

Sahil needs to perform this programme full time for there to be development. We now have to visit Italy every 6 months for evaluation changes to his programme including seeing the doctors and dieticians. We will have competed one year in April and have seen significant changes within Sahil. At first we thought we may be able to undertake this course and be able to financially support but we do not know how long the treatment can go on for as each individual child is different at progressing and unique in their own case.

The costs for the treatment are not just for us to go there. They also include the costs for the staff at Doman to be at the institute and for them to put a pogram together for Sahil. There is also a fortnightly video check inswith Sahil's coach. So far we have worked out this will cost us close to £15,000 per year.

In regards to the fund raising this will be purely for his treatment. We will be covering the cost of travel, hotels etc but we would like your support on this journey to give Sahil an opportunity to be able to have an independent life and be able to do things in life which he has already missed out on.

As parents we have many concerns and worries for him, with this treatment we are seeing and feeling hope as we have seen huge improvement with Sahil.

We are humbly requesting that you help with the above mentioned regarding our beloved son Sahil's case. We will strive to be 100% transparent with the whole matter. This will mean we will be providing constant updates along with pictures and videos.
