Our son Kacper was born with a very serious condition called Spina Bifida (spinal cord defect). From the very first moments of his life he had to fight for survival.

Just one day after he was born, Kacper had to undergo a life-saving surgery. Instead of enjoying the first days with our newborn baby, we were standing next to a hospital bed praying that our son would survive.

Spina bifida affects many parts of Kacper’s body. He also suffers from severe Clubfoot in both feet and a Neurogenic bladder and bowel, which means he has no normal feeling or control. Everyday life requires constant medical care, therapy and support.

Despite everything, Kacper is an incredibly brave and loving boy. He smiles, he tries, and he keeps fighting every single day.

Last year we travelled to Vienna so Kacper could have a specialist surgery on his right foot. We hoped this would finally help him move more comfortably and prevent further deformity.

But our journey is not over.

Recently we received heartbreaking news. Kacper’s left foot has become severely deformed and now requires surgery as well. On top of that, doctors have told us that his right foot will also need another operation.

As parents, it is devastating to hear that our child must go through more surgeries and pain. But we will do everything we can to give Kacper a chance at a better future.

These treatments, surgeries, travel and rehabilitation are extremely expensive, and it is more than we can manage alone. That is why we are asking for help.
