Sean Digby, a devoted friend and veteran, is facing the toughest battle of his life. Diagnosed with a Stage 4 Glioblastoma, Sean’s world has changed dramatically over the last few months. Once the first person to help Anyone in need, his recent diagnosis has left him wheelchair-bound and unable to work. His wife Janine, a public school elementary teacher, has taken an unpaid leave of absence to care for Sean and the three of their four children that still live at home. The family is doing everything they can to stay strong, but the challenges are immense.
Sean’s treatment requires frequent, ongoing travel to Tampa, where he undergoes radiation therapy on his brain. Because of the specific nature and location of his cancer, Sean and Janine must stay in Tampa Monday through Friday for six weeks at a time, with only short breaks in between. Even with support from places like the Hope Lodge, the costs of travel, lodging, and daily meals add up quickly. As a business owner, the main challenge for Sean is the loss of regular income while he is away from home for treatment. The extra expenses from travel and being away from home have created a financial strain that would not exist if they both could remain at home and working as usual.
Friends and loved ones have asked how they can help……
and now is the time. Donations to this fundraiser will go directly toward gas, travel, lodging, and basic household expenses while Sean and Janine are away from home. Your support will help ease the financial strain and allow them to focus on what matters most: Sean’s fight against cancer and caring for their family.
PLEASE take a moment and consider what you can do to help Sean and his family.
