Important Update on Soghol’s Health Journey ❤️

We would like to share a more detailed update about Soghol’s condition and the reason behind the increase in our fundraising goal.

Soghol is living with a rare and complex condition called NF2 (Neurofibromatosis Type 2), which typically presents during adolescence and leads to the growth of tumours on the nerves.

At present, she is living with five tumours in her brain. Over the past two years, she has been experiencing constant and severe pain that has not been fully controlled by any medication. This ongoing pain has had a profound impact on both her physical and emotional well-being.

Physically, the condition has significantly affected her daily life and functioning, requiring multiple surgical interventions. She has already undergone three major surgeries for tumour

in her eye and orbital region, and doctors believe she will likely require three additional surgeries in the near future for the same area.

Emotionally, this journey has been extremely challenging. For nearly two years, Soghol has been unable to attend school or return to her life on stage due to persistent pain and ongoing medical treatment. This has been especially heartbreaking, as music is a deeply important part of her identity. She is a composer, violinist, pianist, and singer, and being away from music has been incredibly painful for her.

Despite everything she is facing, Soghol continues to show remarkable strength and resilience, holding on to her love for music and life.

This fundraising campaign also supports ongoing medical care both in Australia and overseas, including hospital treatment, surgeries, medications, accommodation, and all essential medical support throughout her treatment journey.

We have therefore increased our fundraising goal to help cover these urgent and ongoing needs.
