Hi everyone, I’m Kailee Lindsey. 9/27/24 was a very sad day for my family and community.

Hurricane Helene brought devastation to all of Boone, including our home. Nearly our entire apartment was flooded, with flood water halfway up our windows. My car was totaled by flood water as well. My small family will be starting over nearly from scratch now.

Thankfully, we were able to stay safe upstairs, but I will never forget the feeling of watching all of the things you worried about and worked for just wash away in minutes. We lost our home, our only transportation, and nearly all of our possessions. Any help we could receive in these upcoming weeks, big or small, would be greatly appreciated. My thoughts and love are with everyone in the High Country who are in our situation, and many even worse.
