Help Quickwater Academy stay at our location

Hi, my name is Kim. My husband and I are starting a new school in Idaho. We have around 30 students who are depending on us to keep their school year going. Back in January, the school they were attending had to close its doors. We were both educators at the other school and could not end the program mid-year. Instantly, we were on a journey to save the program we both believe in with all our hearts, not just for us but for the kids and families we have grown to love. We have hit the ground running with no money to start. We have great support from the families that want us to succeed. We are an outdoor skills and trade school. We are blending fundamental academics with an outdoor mindset. From fire building to animal husbandry, we are teaching kids how to live without limits. We have embraced the Idaho spirit and want to help each child learn to love the outdoors and gain a healthy respect for the nature around them. We are looking to stay at our current location to finish out the year. We hope that we will be able to stay here on the farm indefinitely but are trying to make it to summer. We are asking for $40,000 because this will pay for rent for the next three months with a little extra to pour into the program. We build the body through outdoor activities, engage the mind through critical thinking and core fundamentals, and develop character through team challenges and reflection. We embody the spirit of Idaho and embrace its beautiful natural resources. (For ages 5-17). Many kids need alternative education and Quickwater Academy provides it. Your help will allow our students to continue on an educational path that works best for them!
