Greater San Diego Academy’s school community takes immense pride in our garden. Outdoor learning is a priority for all, and our students truly flourish when they’re outside. The garden is more than just a place to plant and harvest—it’s where students build friendships, share stories, and support one another. Whether they’re working together to care for the plants or simply enjoying a quiet moment in nature, the garden helps them connect in meaningful ways that go far beyond the classroom.
Our garden, along with the adjacent outdoor classroom, needs to be fully fenced to keep critters out and maintain our crops. We are grateful to have received a Whole Kids Foundation Garden Grant, which has helped us get started, but it does not cover the full cost of the project. Being outdoors gives our students the chance to learn new skills, develop confidence, and create lasting memories with their peers. We want to ensure this special space remains safe and accessible for everyone.
The joy and sense of belonging our students experience in the garden is special. It would mean the world to our entire staff and school family if you could donate. Any amount is so appreciated, and your support will help us continue to nurture a love of nature and learning in every student.
