My significant other and I were out fishing near the lake when we heard a dog barking and baying for what felt like forever. After about 30 minutes, we decided to hike up the mountain to see if we could find the source of the cries. When I reached the backside of the mountain by the water, I found a dog at the bottom of a steep and rocky ravine, trapped by his collar in thick brush. As he turned his head toward me, I saw that his eyes were completely white—he was blind.
Before we tried to reach him, we called the sheriff and animal control, hoping someone could come help rescue this poor dog. When no one was able to come, we knew we couldn’t leave him there, so we decided to do it ourselves. We rescued him from that impossible spot and brought him to safety. Now, we want to give him the chance at a better life. The surgery for his eyes will give him the ability to see again, opening up a whole new world for him. Your support will help us cover the cost of this life-changing procedure and give our rescued friend the future he deserves.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support. If you’re able, please consider sharing our fundraiser with others who might want to help. Every bit of support brings us closer to giving this brave dog the gift of sight and a second chance at happiness.
