Help Our Rescue Poodles Recover

UDATE: So grateful to have our precious pups home with us! Their treatment was a success thanks to the wonderful vet and techs at Colonial Animal Hospital. We are still in need of funds to cover our expenses, but want to thank all of you that have given and shared this gofundme! ♥️

Over the last three years we have had the joy of adopting three poodles rescued from terrible backyard breeder situations. Our lives really revolve around these precious pups that have been through a lot. Currently, and in recent months we have ended up in the animal hospital ER on three separate occasions. This has left us with hefty vet medical bills that added to other unfortunate expenses from a few hurricanes and the loss of one of our vehicles. Like many, we are struggling with these challenges but are committed to our sweet furry family members and their recovery.

Our goal with this Gofundme page is to raise money to help us cover recent and current medical expenses we have encountered involving our three rescue poodles. Not long ago our miniature poodle ingested some fluff from a dog toy belonging to our foster dogs, requiring a very costly barium X-ray study. To our relief she did not require surgery, as the fluff finally moved into her intestines and passed. Another vet visit involved one of our toy poodles eating a small lizard while out on our lanai that caused injury to his gut. Thankfully, with great medical care, he has fully recovered.

This weekend, in an unfortunate accident all three of our rescues ingested some raisins. As grapes are toxic to dogs and in most cases lead to kidney failure and death, they are currently receiving immediate care in our local animal hospital and will be there for observation and treatment for the next three days. Treatment and observation costs are $9000+ and are hitting us at a very challenging season financially.
