Help Our Radio Station Return to AM Airwaves

Our radio station has been a lifeline for Limited English Proficient Populations in Hawaii, helping people adjust to life in the United States and providing critical information during natural disasters. Each week, we broadcast in 12 different ethnic languages—Ilocano, Tagalog, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Laotian, Vietnamese, Samoan, Tongan, Marshallese, Chuukese, Pohnpeian—and English. We were even exploring the possibility of adding Korean and Hawaiian to our programming before we lost our tower.

Recently, due to safety concerns with our previous tower site, we were told to vacate immediately. As a result, our station has gone silent, and we now have up to one year to get back on the air. The process of moving to a new tower is a major undertaking, with expenses that include building a transmitter site, obtaining permits, covering construction costs, attorney fees, engineering costs, and more. The total cost is significant, and as a community-focused station, we do not generate large profits.

We are reaching out to our listeners and the broader community for help. Your support will make it possible for us to join a brand new existing tower and continue serving Hawaii’s diverse communities. With your generosity, we hope to return to the AM Radio Dial soon and keep providing vital information and connection to those who need it most. Thank you for standing with us!
